Dear Di-ary….

Question: What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving season?

From: Anonymous

I have so many things to be thankful for!

I have always tried to look on the bright side of things, the glass is half full, tomorrow will be a brighter day, focus on the good things of life, find the silver lining in every cloud or focus on the positive in every situation.

Sometimes it is hard but trying to maintain that attitude has helped me a great deal.

I am thankful for my family. My parents, brother, husband, children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors. Each person in my life has influenced and guided me along the way and without them I would not be the person I am today.

I truly believe that everyone we have encountered in our lifetime was meant to be there.  Whether to teach us, guide us, love us, mentor us or minister to us and was put in our path for a reason….and I am grateful for each and every one of them.

When I think back….

I am grateful for my parents who loved each other dearly and taught me to be a good person.

I am thankful for growing up in a house full of love, compassion and respect.

I am thankful for having my brother in my life, even for just 21 years, at the young of 23, his passing taught me “that life can be taken away in an instant.”

November 10, 2024, my brother would have celebrated his 76th birthday.

I am grateful for all the ups and downs in my life that have helped me grow and become a better person.

I am thankful for my faith that has guided me from a young child and helped me in times of happiness and sorrow.

I am thankful for my failures, for without them I would not have tried again…and succeeded.

I am thankful for all those in my life now that surround me with friendship, encouragement, companionship, laughter and love.

I am thankful for the ability to help others and give back in some small way to my community.

I am thankful for being part of a wonderful online community that cares for each other “unconditionally” from all over the United States, Canada and the world!

I am thankful for all my $5.00 friends and all the great adventures/trips  that we have shared!

I am thankful for each and every one of you here and being able to experience new things, great adventures, wonderful friendships, good food, wine and Amaretto with all of you!!!

Love you all!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
